Pauline,
My husband and I have a commitment the weekend of
'our 60th birthday party'. I'm sorry I won't be able to attend. The last one
was such a wonderful experience.
Happy 60th to the entire class! I know everyone
who attends the party will have a great time. Last time most of us were always
trying to find our reading glasses. One attendee quipped, 'at the next
birthday party, we'll all be searching for our false teeth!' I don't think
that time has come yet, but do let me know what item most of us might be
searching for this time.
In 1994, I was living in Charlotte, NC, and Marcia
Grucza Beck and I rode down to the party together. We had a great time
reminiscing during our journey. In January of 2002, we moved to Henderson, NV,
a suburb of Las Vegas. We quit working and we are having the time of our
lives. We moved to Del Webb's Sun City Anthem community. We can see mountains
and the Las Vegas Strip from all across the back of our house, and from our
patio. The community has a fitness center, several pools and numerous clubs
that you can belong too. Plus there is so much to do in Las Vegas, including
lots of inexpensive and/or free food. Sometimes it's cheaper to eat out than
at home. Believe me, after cooking all these years, that's not hard to
take.
Please add this email message to the list of those
who will not be able to attend the festivities.
