My daughter, Deanna got the idea, made a construction mock-up and I
made a pattern and then a bag.
After making 5 or 6 or them, we sent the prototype to a number of
sewers and picked one who is making them for us.
It consists of a "Back up Bag" to carry all the items you
may need that you fill and leave in your car. (Extra diapers, clothes,
bibs, etc.), a changing pad to match your bag, and a diaper bag that
is like a saddle and fits over your own purse, thus, an "Over
tote"
It can be used with or without your purse & comes with it's own
over-the-shoulder strap. It has pockets on both sides for the
items you need to have with you when you run to the store, etc, with
your little one. ( a bottle holder, a wipes pouch with zipper, a place
for a cell phone, anti-bacterial spray, etc.)
That way, you don't have to carry two bags; only one, and just
remove it when you don't have the baby with you. It's great for new
Moms. It keeps you organized and is easy to attach and remove.
